Early one morning in June of 2021, my daughter woke up and came in to tell me that she had just had a dream. "The moon was singing a lullaby to the stars!" I was astounded. What a dream! I asked her if she could draw a picture of what she saw. The main character in this book is the image she drew that morning. 
 
Twinkle Twinkle, Little Moon tells the story of the moon's longing to "be a star." Though she was singing a comfort to the stars, she was also singing with longing because she didn't feel quite "bright enough." 
 
This is an especially important point to make with children: they are enough. Their light. Their love. Their hope. They are enough.
